Artist's Comments  inspiration ;; "Because I could not stop for Death // He kindly stopped for me..." - Emily Dickinson The image was actually done as a request for a pirate-themed image. However, after looking at the spunky pose of the little horse and the dark ocean and the looming ship, I decided that the quote fit nice enough for here on DA. my thoughts ;; Once again I find myself actually liking an image I have done. I adore =night-fate for providing the PS action that made all the coloring possible. Without it, this image was just... blah. work stats ;; So I did put a little bit of work into this image. The horse got a new mane, as well as four new hooves. A ship was added to the ocean. A cliff scene was put in the foreground. Brushes were used to add a few more waves and splashes, as well as some brushes to add in fog. The gold was placed very strategically (yeah, right) in front of the horse. Oh, and the horse has ... cold breath coming from his nose/mouth. Yes, I wasn't sure about the shadow. The original image I did (before applying the action) there were almost no bright spots on the horse, or at least he was not as metallic looking. Looking at it now, the shadow could do to be darker.
Ah, the mouth... on the original image, he has something in his mouth, I think. [[link] I have no idea what it is... can't quite make it out.
