Artist's Comments;; quick comments Wasn't sure where to categorize this. The idea behind the image is to "slip the last bonds" of humanity, and become more than you were before. In this case, she has blue sigils (only one visible), brighter skin, a radiant light. Of course, giving up your humanity is not easy. So, we have gold ribbon... all pretty and shiny. So what has she become? Well... I read a book that talked about "Danae". They are the protectors of the earth - they are what gives it life. They are tall, pale, radiant beings. Each Danae has their own unique set of sigils that reflect their experiences and what they have learned. This girl is young, so her's is no distinct shape. ;; work comments Girl was added, liquified, color-ized. Hair was adjusted, sigil was added. Make-up effects were applied (brighter skin, red lips, eyeshadow that isn't visible now). Ribbon was drawn in. Extra branches drawn on tree. Mist added to the foreground. Light effect drawn in.
