Artist's Comments  inspiration ;; Dying, dying to die just to come back so we can meet again... - "Dying" by Five For Fighting A request for a werewolf image. It was supposed to be dark and eerie, but not gory or frightening. my thoughts ;; I love wolves, so it is a given that I will like this. I also love Five For Fighting, and that song in particular. The lyrics are strong and the voice is beautiful. work stats ;; This took three days, off and on. I started on Christmas with adjusting the background to my liking, which wasn't much work... a good thing, as I was busy on Christmas with family, also. Adjusted levels, hues, added gradients, all that good stuff. Second day was spent on the wolf. He was cut from the original background, had his legs lengthened to give him a more mythical appearance, and smudged. The smudging took a while, as I wanted him to look semi-wet, but also pretty (not bedraggled). Today (last day) was just blending everything. Water was added to the wolf, so that he looked a little more wet and had water dripping off him. Reflection was added, leaves were added, text, etc. I know the lighting is off, but I really wanted him to stand out a bit. He is supposed to be the focus of the image. I could have flipped him, but I didn't think about that until I was almost done. Now I have a question, did you give anyone permission to use this on a proboards board? Someone affiliated with a board I'm on and I checked it out and noticed your image was being used as the header image with the credits and such cropped out which made me suspicious but maybe you know about it or its yours even -shrugs- just thought I'd see if you knew about it, the site is here --> [link]
